What Do We Use It For?
I lost a bunch of my hair in the fall of 2021 due to a previous illness. After that happened I decided to baby my hair as much as possible as it grew back. Along with a good quality shampoo, drinking lots of water, and more conditioner than I want to admit I was advised to get a satin pillowcase. So many of them were crazy expensive. But the Bedsure Satin Pillowcases had over 250,000 reviews and a great rating so I figured it was worth the $5. I will say if your pillowcases are an important part of the aesthetic of your bed they get wrinkled (that picture in the middle above is my actual pillow). They aren’t always pretty! Since I have covered pillows on top of it during the day it isn’t a concern for me.

I decided to purchase this silk pillowcase because every night I would lay down on my cotton pillow case, it would make my face SO uncomfortable and SO itchy! When I first opened up this pillow case I was almost going to return it because it felt very stiff and not silky at all. I almost thought I got the wrong item. Since the price was so cheap I decided to give it a chance and wash them first before using them. Best decision ever! As soon as they came out of the dryer they were SO soft and silky and not stiff at all anymore. It was like they completely transformed.
I bought this product because the use of satin (or silk) pillowcases is recommended for reducing skin wrinkles and protecting fine hair from damage and breakage. Satin is the more budget-friendly option. I chose this set due to the reasonable price and the color options. Since I have been using this pillowcase set, I have noticed less facial moisturizer soaking into my pillowcase at night and more remaining on my face instead. It is a soft pillowcase, but I am still getting used to the slick feel of it. These pillowcases launder well.
I have only had this pillowcase for a few days, but I have already noticed a difference in how my hair looks and feels after sleeping. A lot less frizz and matting! I am excited to see how it works long term. I am taking one star off for the color. I bought the sage green color, but is a light pistachio green color. Not sure if you can tell by the pictures, but it does not match my other sage green items from Bedsure. My comforter and bedsheets are both from Bedsure, both sage green, and none of the colors truly match. Not a major deal breaker, but I would like them to coordinate.
