Local Readers: Introducing My New Baby

CoastalVAdeals logo official

I’ve been keeping a secret from you.

It’s been brewing in my mind for a while now.

And I still don’t know what it will look like but I know I’m ready to get some ideas from you!

On September 1 I started the new website www.coastalvadeals.com.

I wanted to create a site for my local readers with nothing but local deals.  This is a chance to support local businesses and help people find deals in their own area.

Over the next weeks I will be looking to add even more content to the site and getting into the rhythm of deal seeking for two sites!

If you like what you see and want to keep up consider following Coastal Va Deals on Facebook or Twitter.

Know what you would like to see on the new site?  Leave me a comment or let me know on  Facebook or Twitter.

Locals: Brad Paisley And Friends Concert Tickets $15

I have always heard great things about Brad Paisley’s concerts and now you can get a great deal.

Check out this line up:

  • Brad Paisley: The laid-back country singer combines humor and heart in hits such as “Ticks” and “Beat This Summer,” a style that has earned him 3 Grammys, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, and 14 Country Music Association Awards.
  • Randy Houser: Besides writing and singing his own hits—which include “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight,” “Boots On,” and “How Country Feels”—the mellow-voiced performer has also penned songs for stars such as Trace Adkins and Justin Moore.
  • Leah Turner: As a college student, the soulful, raspy-voiced vocalist caught the attention of Kenny Loggins, who encouraged her to pursue a career in music. A few years later, Turner hit the country top 40 with “Take the Keys.”
  • Charlie Worsham: The Mississippi-born singer behind “Want Me Too” has toured with Taylor Swift and opened for Miranda Lambert, and was recognized for “Outstanding Accomplishments” by the Mississippi Senate.

Military: Fall Case Lot Sales Begin August 29th

Generally I’m not jealous of people who can shop at the Commissary- we get great deals around here at our regular stores.

But a few times a year they have a case lot sale and I turn green with envy.

The case lot sales are held under a tent in the parking lot of the commissary. Not all items have to be purchased in bulk but most of the best deals will be.  Pantry goods, beverages, cleaning supplies and pet items are often marked down by a $1 or $2 from the commissary in-store price. And keep an eye out for coupons too- you can use them on all items.

Here is a list of dates for the fall in my area:

Portsmouth: Aug. 29-31

Oceana: Sept. 5-6

Fort Eustis: Sept. 5-7

Norfolk: Sept. 12-14

Langley Air Force Base: Sept. 19-20

Check your local base- you will probably find a sale coming near you!
