For the first time, I am hosting Easter! Upon getting married, I discovered I was treated as an adult and had to figure out how to do adult things. While most things have been super annoying, I am excited about this one.
After assigning various foods to various attendees and grabbing the main entree ourselves, I discovered we had some money left in our budget. As a result, I am preparing for our first adult Easter egg hunt.
We have 12 “kids” coming to Easter between the ages of 9 and 30. Candy wasn’t going to cut it. Cash and gift cards would need to make an appearance. Plus, I wanted to make sure as many people as possible got the eggs with cash and cards. I felt like the easiest way to accomplish this was colored eggs.
On a trip to Walmart I was surprised to see how expensive their plastic eggs were! Fortunately Five Below stepped up for me:
50 Count Fillable Easter Eggs 50-Count $3.00
8 Count Fillable Gold Glitter Easter Eggs $1.00
8 Count Fillable Pastel Glitter Easter Eggs $1.00
I just swung by and picked them up to enjoy any shipping fees!
If you are looking for a candy deal, you can grab these marked-down HERSHEY’s Assorted Flavored, Easter Basket Easter Candy Variety Bag, 66.3 oz (270 Pieces)!
The gold eggs will have bills, the pastel glitter eggs will have numbers inside, and the regular plastic eggs will have candy. I have an additional 100 eggs with candy from other sources to add on.
After the egg hunt is over, the lucky people with the numbers will get to pick a gift card with their order number.
I am hoping this system works, as it is my first try. Have you ever done one before?
