It’s 1:30 in the morning on September 4th.

I just realized that I never did a “it’s my blogiversary” post on September 1st.

September 1st 2009 I started this website.  I was in between semesters in graduate school and I don’t handle down time well.  I had been couponing for about six months (to pay for the previously mentioned graduate school) and my family had gotten sick of me talking about deals all the time.

I figured I would start the website, help a few people and give myself something to do.

I had no idea what I was getting into.

Five years later it’s a full time job.  When I was getting my Masters in Organizational Leadership this is not at all what I pictured myself doing with it.  I figured I would be a VP at some company, carrying a briefcase and wearing a suit.

Instead I get to meet you guys and hope that what I do can make a difference in you achieving your goals.  To give you more time with your family.  To retire earlier.  Whatever it is that you want saving money can be a part of making that happen.

I also started a new website on September 1, 2014.  It’s not ready to roll out yet but when it is, you guys will be the first to know.

In the mean time I want to give you guys the chance to win something because you are amazing.  I’ve got a $100 for you and I will let you pick the store (or restaurant)- as long as I can get to it (via internet or in person).
