Those necessary numbers…

I was reading one of my favorite blogs today and he referenced a web site called Wallet Garden. It was free so I thought I would check it out.

Basically what Wallet Garden does for you is store telephone numbers. You know those 1-800 numbers on the back of your credit and debit cards that you call if you lose your card? If you lose your card, do you have access to them, no matter where you are? I have always photocopied the back of my cards and kept a copy, but it never occured to me I might be out of town when my wallet was taken and those numbers would be safely tucked away in my desk at home.

This website is designed so that no matter where I am if my wallet is taken, I can just log on and find the phone numbers. Also, the web site does not ask for your actual credit card numbers, so you aren’t giving away anything personal.

So log on and check it out if you like. Otherwise maybe this is a reminder to write those numbers down somewhere safe! This could save you some time if something happens!
