Please Read The Signs (Pet Peeve Of Mine)

by Laura on August 20, 2011

I was just in the Food Lion by my house.

They have 1.5 L bottles of Pepsi for $1.29.

They have 2L  bottles of Pepsi for $.99.

WHY?

Why would someone buy that?

if you’re like me, and dont have a problem with flat soda (I actually prefer it, I have IBS and the bubbles sometimes upset my stomach – it’s hit or miss, really) the 2L is just fine. :-)

If you don’t want the flat soda, why not pour it down the drain? It’s still cheaper! :)

You are paying for the convenience. You open a smaller bottle drink it with a meal or just thirsty. Finished that’s it. Repeat. You open a smaller bottle and pfffssst, hear that. That means it is fresh.
Then you have a 2 liter and unless you are going to a party or a reunion it is definitely NOT getting drank in one or two days. The pfffssst becomes nonexistent when you are getting near the end. So more than likely you end up tossing what is left in the bottle.
