My Weekly Shopping- Saved 75%

So thought I would try to take the time each week to show you where I usually shop and what coupons I use.  These stores were from Wednesday to today (that way I hit all the current sales).  Remember I live in an area where it is under a mile to each of these locations- I know for some of you this isn’t possible.

This week I didn’t really need much, so it was pretty lean. Wednesday I will be looking for some deals on fruit- this warm weather makes me want some! I did not include sales tax on my totals below.

Bethany is right about getting the free product- though it could be the deoderant and not the body wash depending on your preference. :) My cashier didn’t even blink this morning.

I used it earlier today with absolutely no problem. It specifically says in their policy you can use coupons on items that are Buy One Get One Free. http://www.walgreens.com/topic/help/generalhelp/coupon_policy_main.jsp

Which one did you go to?

I would hold on to my receipt and coupon and then go to the store when the true store manager was in the building.
My guess is the ‘manager’ on duty on Sunday may not be the overall store manager.
(Hopefully this is on a day when you can swing by and not waste gasoline on a 2nd trip.)
I would go in to speak with the Lead Store Manager, discuss your purchase and surprise at the outcome.
They should have honored the coupon giving you the body wash for free, though it doesn’t appear on any of their website info, it is a good practice to honor coupons to keep customers returning.
    That’s my two cents.
    Cheers, ~B

Walgreens – Buy one get one. Sherry and I both had coupons for the Right Guard Deod/Body Wash Buy 1 Get 1, they also had it on sale Buy 1 Get 1 so all free. When we got to the register the girl called her manager and she said we could not do this. I thought you could? Should we report the store or is it up to each individual manager on duty. Just curious as Sherry and I were kinda disappointed to not take advantage of a deal that others I hear are doing so. Thanks, Kim
