I don’t usually address coupon rumors but this is a very important one (for Hampton Roads readers anyway).
The word on the street is that The Daily Press will no longer be including coupons in any of the papers you buy at the store. Readers are being told the only way to get coupons is to get the paper delivered.
So I e-mailed Nicole at The Daily Press and asked her about it! This is what she received from her contact:
“It is absolutely true that you will not be guaranteed the same amount of coupons when you buy a single copy from the rack. However, we always try to put at least one coupon insert in the single copies when we can… we service (home delivery) customers first.
The rumor that the Daily Press will no longer offer coupons in single copies is false. We cannot tell you how many coupons will be included in the single copies each week, because our Sunday home circulation is growing, but the intention is to include at least one insert in the single copy stand newspapers.”
So if you want extra copies of the coupons you can still grab The Daily Press at your local store. Just be sure to check the paper before you buy it!
