Locals Only: Free Ice Cream in Town Point Park

“TowneBank Fountain Park in Town Point Park, continues the Wednesday Fountain Fun on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Come by the Park from 11am – 3pm and celebrate National Ice Cream Month with Free Ice Cream (while supplies last), cool off in the interactive fountain, dance to music, enjoy live performances, and participate in children’s activities!

Wednesday, July 14, 2010, Norfolk Festevents, Ltd. will celebrate this event with FREE entertainment and activities. Activities include backyard lawn games, such as corn hole, ring toss, bocce ball, hula hoops and much more! Norfolk Public Library will be onsite for a reading corner and storytelling, as well as Mad Science to spark imaginative learning. Also stick around for two astonishing performances by Excalibur Gymnastics and more.

Wednesdays are great for children and families to come and enjoy the fun in TowneBank Fountain Park. There is plenty of furniture and bistro seating with shade provided under the large park umbrellas. Omar’s Fountain Café is open for lunch until two o’clock serving tasty outdoor summer foods, treats, and cold beverages for purchase. Picnic spreads are welcome.”
