Help for Haiti

Bloggers all over the web have come together to raise funds to help Haiti. Check out this list on Money Saving Mom of over 400 blogs, many of which will donate funds just for leaving a comment!

I am going to do the same. For every comment left on this post until 1/29/10 at 7:30 a.m., I will donate $.10 to World Vision for Haiti relief. For every new friend on facebook I will donate $.25.

Along with our prayers, this is another great opportunity as a community to show our support for people who are suffering.

I feel really bad for the country of Haiti and wish there was more that I could do. I look at my own circumstances and feel that right now, the outpour of assistance to Haiti is way better off than myself. I’m looking outside myself for this moment and pray for all those who are in need of help there. I can offer prayer and maybe because of your offer to help for clicking on to your website, you would donate on my behalf. For that, I appreciate you and your efforts to do something. I would rather physically do something but am unaware of what I could do. As you remain informed, I’d like to find a sponsor to send me to Haiti, for I am a licensed nurse and willing to travel. Any ideas, please contact me. Thank you.

I saw you on the news this morning. I have been in exactly this situation. I want to help, but we truly don’t have the money at this time. We have 3 boys, and the middle one is autistic. My husband is in the Coast Guard in Haiti as I am writing. He has been doing lots of relief efforts, not to mention, having to sleep under the stars the other night and cover up with a piece of cardboard. This was after they got 2 severely injured men medi-vaced out. My heart is heavy for the people of Haiti. Thank you for putting this out there. I did try to click on the link for the other blogs, but the server was not connecting. Once again, Thank You.
