Welcome to the 2012 series “De-Stress Yourself.” Each week I challenge you with one simple, inexpensive thing you can do to reduce your stress level. If you have missed previous weeks take a moment to catch up!
This week’s challenge is one of the more difficult I have asked you to try. I LOVE sleep-it’s quite possibly my favorite thing to do. And when I have to get up in the morning sleeps take precedence over just about everything.
But there is something amazing about having a day you can start peacefully- getting up 15 minutes earlier than everyone in the house and having a cup of coffee, or taking an extra long shower with lavender scented body wash. Maybe eating a good hot breakfast.
So you challenge this week is to start one day peacefully. This one may require some planning. Maybe try to find a slumber party for your kids one night. Make lunches the night before instead of in the morning. Get your kids backpacks together and by the front door. Anything you can do to give yourself just a few minutes of piece before things get crazy.
