Amazon: Deceptively Delicious Cookbook $6.93

I have never seen this cookbook but enough blogging moms have recommended it to me that I feel I can give it a thumbs up!

Deceptively Delicious is a cookbook designed to sneak veggies into your kid’s food!  Amazon describes it as:

“Her book is filled with traditional recipes that kids love, except they’re stealthily packed with veggies hidden in them so kids don’t even know! With the help of a nutritionist and a professional chef, Seinfeld has developed a month’s worth of meals for kids of all ages that includes, for example, pureed cauliflower in mac and cheese, and kale in spaghetti and meatballs. She also provides revealing and humorous personal anecdotes, tear–out shopping guides to help parents zoom through the supermarket, and tips on how to deal with the kid that “must have” the latest sugar bomb cereal.”

Right now on Amazon you can get Deceptively Delicious for $6.93

And remember you can use Amazon Mom, Amazon Student or a Free Sample of Amazon Prime to get FREE shipping!

Give Freely 1/12

Welcome to Give Freely!

One in five Americans deals daily with the issue of not having enough to eat. Many of those are children. As couponers, we have the unique opportunity to buy items at extremely reduced prices (or even free) to feed our families.

The goal is Give Freely is to present you each week with freebies or near freebies from your local grocery stores. Because these items are so inexpensive we are hoping that you will spend the extra few cents to pick up a spare item to donate to your community center, church, local food bank or shelter.

If you are a blogger who does deals for a supermarket not on this list and would be interested in participating, please send me an e-mail!

So your total will be $23.75.  BUT…

Shop at Home is going to give you 35% cash back.  So in a few days, you should see a rebate of $8.31 in your account.

Kroger Deals of the Week 1/9

I never post Kroger deals.  There has really only been one reason for that- their deals vary by area.  I have talked to bloggers who have Krogers within 2 or 3 miles of each other that have different sales.

However I talk to many people when I teach coupon classes who like Kroger.  So I am going to try to list the deals each week and hope that they are pretty close to the prices where you live!

Click here to see all the deals of the week, but here are the ones that caught my eye!

Gerber 2nd Foods, 2 pk, 3.5 oz Containers – $0.89
$0.75/2 Gerber Puree 11/14/2010 RP Insert

Powerade or Powerade Zero, 32 oz. – $0.79

Red Cherries – $2.99/lb. (This is one of my favorite foods on earth!)

Tyson Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast – $1.99/lb.
