Amazon Free Book Download: Finding Grace

I found another free book you can download to your Kindle or PC from Amazon.

Check out “Finding Grace” by Sarah Pawley.

Here is the book synopsis from Amazon: Grace is seventeen. She is bold, intelligent…and unmarried. In the eyes of her family and her mountain born neighbors, she is hopelessly willful. But she is determined to forge her own path, come what may. When her parents try to force her hand in marriage, she flees, seeking out her brother and his wife, who once watched over her. Settling down with them, she finds a new life…and possible romance with a handsome neighbor. But the past will come back to haunt her, possibly destroying the happiness she has worked so hard to find.

Free Amazon Book Download: The Brotherhood (Precinct 11)

I have to be honest… I am more of mystery reader than most of the books I have been posting.  So I was excited to find one where quite possibly someone dies in the beginning, a cop tries to figure out who did it, there is a dramatic fight scene and the good guys win in the end.  Yes, I am a stereotype.

Right now you can download The Brotherhood: Precinct 11 on Amazon for free to your PC or Kindle.

Here is the description of the book: Boone Drake has it made. He’s a young cop rising rapidly through the ranks of the Chicago Police Department. He has a beautiful wife and a young son, a nice starter house, a great partner, and a career plan that should land him in the Organized Crime Division within five years. Everything is going right. Until everything goes horribly, terribly wrong. His personal life destroyed and his career and future in jeopardy, Boone buries himself in guilt and bitterness as his life spirals out of control. But when he comes face-to-face with the most vicious gang leader Chicago has seen in decades, he begins to realize that God is a God of second chances and can change the hardest heart . . . and forgive the worst of crimes. A thought-provoking police thriller from New York Times best-selling author Jerry B. Jenkins.

Dr. Oz- 48 Hour Free Access to ConsumerLab.com

I have started watching Dr. Oz again.  Most of the time I just find it interesting but today’s show was something I really wanted to check out.

They rated vitamins- which brands are well made and will do what they are supposed to.  Because there are constantly coupons for vitamins in the paper I have always wondered if those brands are good or should I be buying some that are more expensive.

Today on the show he had someone from ConsumerLab.com- a website that shows results from different labs about the contents of vitamins on the market.  They aren’t saying which vitamins are good for what, they just check to see if vitamins have fillers, if drinks have WAY more water than they say they do etc.

If you have always wondered about your vitamins ConsumerLab.com has opened up certain portions of their site to the public for 48 hours so you can check the vitamins you use and see what is in them!

Just go through this link and take a look around yourself!  This access will end Saturday at 4 p.m. EST!

Amazon Free Download: While We’re Far Apart

This looks like another crying book.  So if you are looking to curl up for a good cry (or if you don’t cry just a good story) you can try this one for free.

Download While We’re Far Apart for free to your PC or Kindle on Amazon.

Here is the description from Amazon: In an unassuming apartment building in Brooklyn, New York, three lives intersect as the reality of war invades each aspect of their lives. Young Esther is heartbroken when her father decides to enlist in the army shortly after the death of her mother. Penny Goodrich has been in love with Eddie Shaffer for as long as she can remember; now that Eddie’s wife is dead, Penny feels she has been given a second chance and offers to care for his children in the hope that he will finally notice her and marry her after the war. And elderly Mr. Mendel, the landlord, waits for the war to end to hear what has happened to his son trapped in war-torn Hungary. But during the long, endless wait for victory overseas, life on the home front will go from bad to worse. Yet these characters will find themselves growing and changing in ways they never expected.

Amazon FREE Book Download: Maid To Match

This book has an almost 5 star rating and if you like period books, this might be right up your alley!

On Amazon you can download Maid To Match to your Kindle or PC for FREE!

Here is a description of the book: Tillie Reese, a bright young woman hindered by the extreme poverty in the mountains of New York, gets the job of her dreams—a position as a housemaid in George Vanderbilt’s Biltmore Estate. Surrounded by beauty and opulence, Tillie doesn’t mind the physical demands of being a servant. Meanwhile, Mack Danver will do anything to save money so he can get his sister out of the school for orphans. His twin brother, Earl, is a footman for the Vanderbilts, and when Mrs. Vanderbilt sees Mack, she decides to make the handsome brothers a “matched set.” Although well read, Mack is a mountain man at heart, and he hates being at the beck and call of the privileged upper class. However, the need to save his sister trumps his distaste. Then it’s love at first sight for Mack and Tillie, but rules against the help dating each other make Tillie fight her attraction with all the strength she can muster. Gist’s snapshot of the lives of late-nineteenth-century servants is rich in detail, and readers will root for Gist’s characters as they face one difficult situation after another with courage and faith. Another crowd-pleaser from this popular author.
