Amazon Add On Deals? And Toilet Paper

With the coming changes to Rite Aid and future ones to Walgreens (look for a post soon) I was hoping changes were finished.

Nope.  Now it’s Amazon.

This morning a good price for Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Care Toilet Paper Big Roll, 12 Count popped up.  $6 for that pack isn’t bad- especially if you aren’t an avid couponer.

As I am looking at the deal to post it- I notice this little gem in the corner:

Welcome to Amazon’s new program- Add Ons.

Basically what it means is “Great!  We want you to buy this.  But you know how you get FREE shipping when you spend $25 or more?  Yeah, this doesn’t count toward your $25.”

In this case I am sure the expense of shipping toilet paper is high enough that they have done this to off set the cost.  But I am hoping I don’t see this pop up too often- I like my $25 rule!

Remember this is Amazon- prices can change in the blink of an eye!
