Hushabye (A Kate Redman Mystery: Book 1) (The Kate Redman Mysteries)

A missing baby. A murdered girl. A case where everyone has something to hide…

On the first day of her new job in the West Country, Detective Sergeant Kate Redman finds herself investigating the kidnapping of Charlie Fullman, the newborn son of a wealthy entrepreneur and his trophy wife. It seems a straightforward case… but as Kate and her fellow officer Mark Olbeck delve deeper, they uncover murky secrets and multiple motives for the crime.

Kate finds the case bringing up painful memories of her own past secrets. As she confronts the truth about herself, her increasing emotional instability threatens both her hard-won career success and the possibility that they will ever find Charlie Fullman alive…

Glorious Ruin: How Suffering Sets You Free

In this world, one thing is certain: Everybody hurts. Suffering may take the form of tragedy, heartbreak, or addiction. Or it could be something more mundane (but no less real) like resentment, loneliness, or disappointment. But there’s unfortunately no such thing as a painless life. In Glorious Ruin, best-selling author Tullian Tchividjian takes an honest and refreshing look at the reality of suffering, the ways we tie ourselves in knots trying to deal with it, and the comfort of the gospel for those who can’t seem to fix themselves—or others.

This is not so much a book about Why God allows suffering or even How we should approach suffering—it is a book about the tremendously liberating and gloriously counterintuitive truth of a God who suffers with you and for you. It is a book, in other words, about the kind of hope that takes the shape of a cross.

The Modern Girls’ Guide to Bread Baking: Tips & Tricks for Creating the Perfect Loaf.

If the act of baking a fresh loaf of homemade bread frightens you, or if you’ve never been able to replicate a bread recipe, this book is for you. The Modern Girls’ Guide to Bread Baking takes the mystery out of this timeless practice by shedding light on all the nuances of bread baking, helping you create that perfect loaf even your mother-in-law will be jealous over.

Baking bread doesn’t have to be relegated to something only our grandmothers do. We can do it too! We don’t have to wait until Thanksgiving or Christmas to have that special comfort food goodness – we can bake a loaf just because it’s Tuesday.

The Modern Girls Guide of Bread Baking is written specifically for bread baking novices.

Fresh Doubt (Ingrid Skyberg FBI Thrillers – Book 1)

Up against the obstructive attitude of the Metropolitan Police and defying the wishes of the embassy, Ingrid must navigate through a minefield of fear and mistrust to discover the killer’s true identity. But in order to ensure justice is served, she is forced to operate so far beyond the law that she may never get back again.

none of these were free. I run into that a lot. I am broke and really would probably not have good control if I ever put a card in to buy a book-even for a dollar!! I am a book junkie. pixle of ink does offer 4 free books every day and bookbub has many though a lot of those that are free are the paranormal and vampire kind. well I still have my library. I just wish sites wouldn’t say things are free if they aren’t. and I do appreciate the freebies I do get :)
