This past Friday I got to head up to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and get a sneak peak behind the scenes at Christmas Town 2018!
What’s New at Busch Gardens Christmas Town 2018
Christmas Town Express: The Busch Gardens Railway has been turned into the Christmas Town Express! Park guests can sing along to their favorite holiday songs while enjoying the lighted decorations along the route! It’s over two million lights in the 1.5-mile tour.
New Wilkommenhaus: In the German Village, the Wilkommenhaus has beautiful projections on the outside of the building every 15 minutes once it gets dark outside. And don’t forget the Cookies and Cocoa Shop inside- I checked this out for you personally last year and all the cookies are good!
New Sesame Street Holiday Show- Elmo’s Christmas Wish: This new show debuts in the Sesame Street Forest of Fun. Rosita, Grover, Zoe and Cookie Monster work with Elmo to help him find his Christmas Wish!
New Ride Open: Battle for Eire will be open along with Verbolten and InvadR.
Tastes of Christmas Town: Inside Das Festhaus there is a buffet this year which also gives you reserved seating for “Deck The Halls.” The Menu includes: Carved roasted sirloin and turkey, apricot glazed ham, shrimp alfredo, bratwurst, pasta with marinara sauce, baked potato bar, macaroni & cheese, chicken tenders, a variety of Christmas Town soups and sides, tossed salad, dinner rolls, fresh fruit, assorted desserts and Coca-Cola® beverages. It’s an extra $36 for adults but if you will eat your weight in food it might be the frugal option!
New Food: We have some new menu options this year as well! A Roasted Sirloin Sandwich (beef sirloin with fried onion strings on sourdough sub roll), a Christmas Town Club (on cranberry apple and raisin bread), a Peppermint Freak Shake (freakishly large chocolate milkshake with peppermint candy, chocolate drizzle and over sized mint chocolate chip cookie) and a Beignet Sundae (which I am going to be nice and try for you in person to be sure it’s good).
Current Busch Gardens Christmas Town prices for Christmas 2018:
Christmas Town Fun Card: $49 and available now. We don’t usually see a discount on the Fun Cards. Last year they didn’t even do a discount if you had a Season Pass.
Christmas Town Single Day Ticket: The Busch Gardens Christmas Town Tickets for 2018 are live now! As in previous years you must choose your date ahead of time to see the pricing for tickets. The more expensive the tickets the busier to expect the park to be. Prices are from $30 to $49.
Membership Members: Remember Christmas Town is now included in your pass so you don’t need to buy tickets!
