Water Country USA® celebrated a monumental first with the grand opening of Cutback Water Coaster™, the first RocketBLAST® coaster on the East Coast and a first for Virginia. And I got to be one of the first people to ride it along with my friend James. Please listen for James in the video- when he gets excited he giggles and it’s delightful.
Aboard a four-person raft, Cutback Water Coaster’s riders speed along an 856-foot slide, jet through tunnels and slide onto the wide-open space of five massive saucer-shaped features. Cutback’s saucers and water jet propulsion system create the sensation of a roller coaster, moving riders up long, steep inclines and through lightning-fast drops at thrilling speeds of 35 feet per second.
The height requirements are 42″ with an adult and 48″ without.
