Things to Do In Williamsburg: Merchant Square

[1]

This is one of a series of posts on the amazing town of Williamsburg, VA [2]. If you are looking for a vacation or a good staycation it has many hidden gems and awesome high profile places to shop, eat and experience! I have also started a Pinterest Board [3] with great things to do around Williamsburg!

Williamsburg, VA has some amazing shopping.  While the outlet mall is the best place to find deals Merchant Square [4] is a great place to find unique specialty items.

Since the shops are located adjacent to Colonial Williamsburg’s Historic Area it fits with the colonial feeling of the area.  An 18th-century style retail village with over 40 shops and restaurants gives you lots to browse through.

Merchant Square 3 [5]

Some of them are big nationwide chains like Williams & Sonoma, Chicos and Talbots but the fun shops are the local ones.  Also you can check out the Kimball Theater [6] for local community productions!

Merchant Square 2 [7]

Plus on most Saturday mornings during nice weather there is a wonderful farmer’s market.  There are organic vendors, honey, a bison butcher and lots of other interesting booths.

I wouldn’t make a trip to Williamsburg JUST for Merchant’s Square but if you are there you should check it out!
