This is one of a series of posts on the amazing town of Williamsburg, VA. If you are looking for a vacation or a good staycation it has many hidden gems and awesome high profile places to shop, eat and experience! I have also started a Pinterest Board with great things to do around Williamsburg!
Williamsburg, VA has some amazing shopping. While the outlet mall is the best place to find deals Merchant Square is a great place to find unique specialty items.
Since the shops are located adjacent to Colonial Williamsburg’s Historic Area it fits with the colonial feeling of the area. An 18th-century style retail village with over 40 shops and restaurants gives you lots to browse through.
Some of them are big nationwide chains like Williams & Sonoma, Chicos and Talbots but the fun shops are the local ones. Also you can check out the Kimball Theater for local community productions!
Plus on most Saturday mornings during nice weather there is a wonderful farmer’s market. There are organic vendors, honey, a bison butcher and lots of other interesting booths.
I wouldn’t make a trip to Williamsburg JUST for Merchant’s Square but if you are there you should check it out!
