For those of you who watch A Frugal Chick’s Facebook page you know that I LOVE television. I’m a person who keeps up with which actors have renewed their contracts, when writers are fired and the new shows coming on in the fall. I find the business of television interesting.
Most of the shows that I watch just kind of run in the back while I work during the day and I half listen to them. It takes a really good show for me to actually sit on the couch and watch it without working on another project.
One of those shows that gets my undivided attention every Tuesday night is NCIS. Currently in it’s 9th season- it is one of those rare shows that has seen it’s viewership increase as it gets older.
And after the season finale last night I can be sure they will have many sets of eyes when the 10th season begins in the fall.
So if you think Gibbs, DiNozzo and Abby are worthy of your attention you can get a STELLAR deal today on Amazon. Today you can get NCIS: Seasons 1-8 on DVD for $124.99.
This is Amazon so the price could change at any moment.
Equal parts JAG and C.S.I., NCIS does a formidable job of blending relevant military headlines with quirky characters who are tenaciously determined to solve a crime–even if it means having to sleep in the morgue to get a few minutes of shut eye. Created by Donald P. Bellisario (JAG, Quantum Leap), NCIS actually began as a two-part episode of JAG in 2003. Later that year, the drama made its full-season debut on CBS. Viewers are introduced to an elite squad of special agents, led by Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). He’s brilliant when it comes to ferreting out the truth, but he’s not savvy enough to figure out how to block his ex-wife’s nagging phone calls. Instead, he makes do by destroying his cell phone. Gibbs’ team is fleshed out by an eclectic and somewhat eccentric set of colleagues, including medical examiner Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard (David McCallum from The Man from U.N.C.L.E.), wannabe playboy and former homicide detective Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), forensics expert and resident Goth chick Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), and former Secret Service agent Caitlin Todd (Sasha Alexander).
And if you watch the show or just wonder what the Head Slap title is about (trust me the Head Slap is a term of endearment) check out this NCIS ad from CBS:
