Target (Deal Information Included) and Dick’s Sporting Goods Will Close Stores on Thanksgiving Day

Target and Dick’s Sporting Goods are following the lead of Walmart and closing on Thanksgiving Day.

Target also said Monday that it will begin its holiday shopping promotions in October to stretch out deals for customers and stave off big crowds in stores during the holidays.  Macy’s has also hinted they will be doing that.

“Historically, deal hunting and holiday shopping can mean crowded events, and this isn’t a year for crowds.”

At A Frugal Chick we are already preparing for holiday shopping being primarily online this year.  It’s going to mean some changes to hopefully make the website easier to use on mobile and get more notifications for posts.
