At the beginning of the 2018 Busch Gardens Williamsburg rolled out new memberships. People were NOT happy- as we rarely are with change. One of the biggest complaints was that ALL the passes included Water Country USA- something few people did not want to pay for.
One plan had a ton of black out dates and almost everyone saw a price increase- the cheapest plan was $12.99 a month.
Everyone was happy to see Christmas Town included in all the memberships!
After listening to the complaints and suggestions they have released a new set of memberships. Don’t worry- if you like the current plan you have you can keep it! If you don’t want to you can visit the park on a normal operating day to switch or call 757-229-4386.
New Busch Gardens Williamsburg Memberships
So here are the new plans:
$9.99 a month Basic Membership (one park only, add $2 a month for a second park):
This pass includes 50% off general parking ($15 currently before discount), 10% off in-park purchases (including food), access to exclusive events, monthly rewards and guest ticket discounts. There are 28 black out dates where this pass will not get you into the park and there would be an additional charge for entry. Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town are included.
$14.99 a month Unlimited Membership (one park only, add $2 a month for a second park):
This pass includes free general parking, no black out dates, 10% off in-park purchases (including food), access to exclusive events, monthly rewards and discount guest tickets. Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town are included.
$19.99 a month Premier Membership (one park only, add $2 a month for a second park):
This pass includes free preferred parking (when available), no black out dates, 15% off in-park purchases (including food), discount guest tickets, access to exclusive events, monthly rewards and three FREE guest tickets. Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town are included.
$28.99 a month Platinum Membership:
This is the daddy of all passes. This pass gets you unlimited memberships to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Water Country USA and nine other parks owned by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. This pass includes free preferred parking (when available), no black out dates, 15% off in-park purchases (including food), discount guest tickets, access to exclusive events, monthly rewards and three FREE guest tickets. You also get a FREE PhotoKey (I paid $80 for mine this year) and RIDE AGAIN PRIVILEGES. Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town are included.
What Are Ride Again Privileges?
I am so glad you asked. If you have this pass they will give you a card to carry around with you (just stick it in the lanyard with your pass). When you are on one of the rides just show your card when you finish and you will be able to ride a second time immediately. When I spoke to the staff on Thursday they did not have a list of these rides available yet. At most parks it’s their bigger coasters that are a little bit older.
You don’t have to change anything. You keep your current membership as long as you want to!
What about those of us who did the $15 a month for the two parks? Do we still get two parks or do they take one away from us?
