Mint Chocolate Chip Coffee Milkshake Recipe
When Community Coffee approached me about doing a drink recipe with one of their products I thought “I can’t do this- I don’t even LIKE to drink coffee.”
Milkshakes on the other hand- I am a professional at milkshakes. One of my best friends, Joel, is also a professional at milkshakes and happens to LOVE coffee. And Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. The best option seemed to mix all these things together in a little piece of heaven.
So we went to the store and grabbed a bag of Medium Roast Community Coffee. They have a variety of flavors in both traditional ground coffee and K-Cup packs! Whatever you prefer, they have it! Plus, they also have a line of teas, offering Regular Iced Tea, Black Tea, and Green Tea.
And I have a coupon you can print NOW to save on your Community Coffee. Plus, if you live in Florida, check your Valpak envelopes to get an additional Community Coffee coupon!
So introducing the Mint Chocolate Chip Coffee Milkshake Recipe that Joel and I carefully crafted for you- doing MANY tastings to be sure that the quantities lead to the perfect blend of deliciousness.
Mint Chocolate Chip Coffee Milkshake Recipe
Ingredients
4 cups hardpacked Mint Chocolate Chip (or really any flavor) Ice Cream – we used an entire typical size container of all-natural ice cream
1.5 cups of medium or dark roast coffee (we used Community Coffee- available at all Walmart stores)
Optional Ingredients: chocolate syrup (although in my opinion this should never be OPTIONAL), whipped cream
Directions
- Make the 1.5 cups of coffee and set it in the fridge to cool
- Once it has cooled put the ice cream in a blender and add the coffee on top.
- Blend until mixed to your preference (if you get an ice cream with big chunks I suggest keeping it thick and using a spoon)
We found this ratio gave a nice balance of the ice cream flavor and coffee flavor. You can make stronger coffee or use less for a thicker milkshake!
