Healthy Eating Alternative: Spices Not Sauces

Thanks to CrossFit Chesapeake [1]I have been working on trying to find some healthy eating alternatives.

One of the big steps has been decreasing my carb intake (I LOVE bread) and trying to increase protein.  Looking at the recipes online for chicken so many of them have sauces that have high fat content or are full of sugar.  So I have been looking at trying different spices and marinades on meat to make it taste great without the extra calorie in-take.

Naturally I am beginning this process by searching for coupons!  Here are some of the recent ones that are available:

Alot of these marinades may have high sodium or contain high fructose corn syrup so be sure to read the ingredients carefully and consider your own health concerns.

I’m not a doctor but I know that I feel better after I have a nice piece of grilled chicken with seasoning than after I eat chicken that was breaded and deep fried.  So maybe this weekend instead of using the deep fryer fire up the grill!
