Want to do some travel of your own? Check out Frugal Travel Ideas from A Frugal Chick!
I have quite a few friends who travel. Buying them unique gifts on a budget can be a challenge. Especially when I am trying to find something useful. I spent some time looking around trying to solve this problem for myself and thought I would share these solutions with you!
Gifts For People Who Travel
Travel Journals (Prices All Over The Place)
Few things could be more useful to have for a traveler than a good travel journal. I absolutely love this You Are Here: A Mindful Travel Journal for those of us who are a little writing challenged. I can use some directions in my journaling.
Wine Skin Bottle Travel Bags (should be under $10 for 2)
Have you ever tried to travel with wine? I did once and we wrapped it in newspaper and plastic bags and ziploc bags and towels. And I got to be nervous all the way home. This will help with that. And maybe you will get a nice souvenir for giving such a good gift.
Cocoon Grid-It Organizer (should be under $15 depending on size)
While I don’t know that I would use it for my phone this would be a LIFESAVER for all the cords I use when I travel! And the pens, hand sanitizer, breath mints and other items that tend to live in the bottom of my bag. Actually this wouldn’t be too awful for my theme park visits either.
Collapsible Water Bottle (wow these have gotten fancy and prices have gotten reasonable)
Water bottles are fantastic for travels. They can be HUGE money savers (bottled water is crazy expensive) but also take up a ton of room in the suitcase. There are several models of collapsible bottles that would save both space and funds.
E-Reader or Gift Card for Downloadable Books (I love my Kindle but there are others)
E-readers have gotten much more inexpensive, especially if you don’t need the latest and greatest. Or if they just use the e-reader software on their phone grab them an Amazon Gift Card to buy a book or two!
