Busch Gardens Williamsburg has decided to add (or re-add as they used to do it) a new kid friendly section to Howl O’ Scream this year- The Count’s Spooktacular Kids’ Halloween.

Every weekend in October, children 9 and younger are encouraged to come dressed in their best Halloween costume (minus the mask) to dance and play with their favorite Sesame Street ® friends Elmo, Cookie Monster and more at The Count’s Spooktacular at Busch Gardens ® Williamsburg. Kid-friendly rides, family activities and trick-or-treating will be offered around the park for kids to celebrate the fall season.

Celebrate silly, not-too-spooky fun on Saturdays and Sundays in October. Children (under 9) are invited to come dressed up and join in our costume parade during this daytime event. There are other family-friendly activities, too, like our newly-themed hay maze, trick-or-treating locations and interactive show.

Families will also have the opportunity to participate in themed Halloween fun with their favorite Sesame Street characters that will include:

MONSTERS & FAIRIES

Oct 5 & 6

Join Elmo and Abby Cadabby for a monstrous good time filled with activities including creating an Elmo Halloween mask, coloring, a costume dance party, and searching for monsters and fairies in a hay maze.

SUPER GROVER

Oct 12 & 13

Super Grover is ready to take flight with fun activities including dancing, coloring, and a search for ghosts and capes in the hay maze.

PIRATE PARTY

Oct 19 & 20

It’s a party with Bert and Ernie as they join the Halloween fun dressed as pirates where kids can dance, take photos, and visit a hay maze in search of trick-or-treat surprises and pirate fun.

ROSITA’S HALLOWEEN FIESTA

Oct 26 & 27

Rosita shows off her new fiesta Halloween costume as kids enjoy the activities like creating masks, coloring, and searching for Mardi Gras fun in a hay maze.

Please use discretion when visiting the park with young children after 5:45 pm when frightening elements come out for Howl-O-Scream.
