Prime for Young Adults is the newly rebranded name for Prime Student. Nothing about the plan itself is changing, so it’s still $7.49/month after a six-month free trial, but now, it’s not limited to just college students.

Anyone between the ages of 18 and 24 is now eligible for the 50% off Amazon Prime membership!  Once the free membership is over, your account will auto-renew at $7.49 per month, or $69 annually. Both are a 50% discount compared to the usual Prime membership price of $14.99 per month or $139 annually.

Here are some of the lesser known perks:

  • Prime Try Before You Buy – a program that allows shoppers to add multiple sizes and styles of clothing to their cart to try on at home, buy what fits, and send back what doesn’t at no added cost
  • Amazon Photos – members receive unlimited cloud photo storage
  • Prime Reading – over 3,000 e-books and audiobooks are available to Prime subscribers at no extra cost
  • Prime Gaming – play free games and in-game content that rotate monthly
  • Amazon Music – get ad-free access to songs, playlists, and popular podcasts (similar to an unpaid Spotify account)
  • Grubhub+ – typically $9.99/month, get $0 delivery fees with Grubhub orders over $12
  • Amazon Day – subscribers can choose one day a week and have all of their orders throughout the week delivered on that same day every week
  • Amazon Fresh – get fresh groceries and select Whole Foods products delivered to your door
  • RxPass – for $5/month, members can get eligible medications in one monthly subscription
