Now that you have created your budget you know exactly how much money you have to spend on things like gifts and entertaining.

Your goal is to get the best bang for your buck that you possibly can.

We have already seen the Holiday 2014 deals begin- retailers have started even earlier than usual with their lowest prices.   But there are some “shopping holidays” each year that retailers use to showcase some of their lowest prices.

1.  Black Friday, November 28– In case you live under a rock Black Friday is one of the most advertised shopping days of the year.  People stay up all night long to wait in ridiculous lines for deals!  If you want to do some research before you go out or find out which of the best deals are available online check out the Black Friday 2014 Sales and Price Comparisons as well as the Black Friday 2014 Store Hours.

2.  Small Business Saturday, November 29– Created by American Express it encourages people across the country to support small, local businesses, and started a holiday shopping tradition.  Some businesses will have special sales and events in encourage shoppers to come visit!

3.  Cyber Monday, December 1– The term “Cyber Monday” was created by marketing companies to persuade people to shop online.  Most companies do it to try to get you to buy the gifts you either forgot or couldn’t buy on Black Friday weekend.  Interestingly enough it is NOT the biggest on-line shopping day of the year.  Last year Thanksgiving Day surpassed Cyber Monday in online sales.

4.  December 18th- Free Shipping Day (started 2008)– On this promotional holiday, consumers get to shop from large and small online merchants that are offering free shipping with a guarantee of delivery by Christmas Eve.  There will be up to 1,000 participating merchants offering free shipping on in-stock items in the Continental US.
