Whole Foods in Virginia Beach has a full calendar of events this month.

Here are the events for the week of February 15th through February 28th:

February 15th

11:00 am- Gluten Free Tour:  Navigating the aisles of a grocery store can be daunting if you or someone in your family has a gluten allergy, intolerance or Celiac disease. Learn where to find out gluten-free products and all about our Gluten Free Bakehouse and sample along the way.

Class is free but registration is required.

February 18th

11-11:30-Salad Bar 101:

Our organic salad bar features more than 50 items but how do you convince your fast-food-loving child to choose greens over grease? School’s out today but healthy eating specialist Cara will teach children of all ages how to build a better salad and let them taste anything they want.

February 19th

11-12am- Eating with Cara:  Join us every Tuesday beginning Feb. 12th for a lesson in healthy eating with our healthy eating specialist Cara. She’ll cover a different topic each week. Feb. 12th = Got a date? Raw brownies sweetened with dates and salad with olive o’love dressing; Feb. 19th = cooking with quinoa; Feb. 26th = delicious and nutritious dips and dippers.

Class is free but space is limited, and registration is required

6:30 pm-Say Cheese: Hello? Is it Brie you’re looking for? Go on a tasting adventure around the world of cheese with our cheesemonger Tracey.

February 20th

9:30-10:45-Healthy Kids Club: We are teaming up with the Jr. League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach to support their Healthy Kids Initiative by offering fun and creative ways to teach children ages 3-5 about making healthy food choices. Space is limited to 10 children per class. Babes in arms are welcome to sit with caregivers or in strollers. A $3 donation per participating child is suggested to the Jr. League and will be collected before class. Choose from 9:30-10 am and 10:15-10:45 am each Wednesday. Registration is required.

5:30-7:30-Winesday: Join us every Wednesday beginning Feb. 6th from 5:30-7:30 pm for samples of five wines and five food pairings throughout the store. There will be a different theme each week. Cost is $5, and participants must be 21 years of age or older with valid ID to participate.

February 21st

5:00-8:00 Health Starts Here Real Deal: Join our Healthy Eating Specialist Cara every Thursday in February in our prepared foods area for a Health Starts Here Meal Deal “pop up” venue featuring a different whole food, plant-based meal each week for just $5.

6:00-7:00 online Twitter Chat Food and Film: Join us for a virtual dinner as we talk about the movies. We’ll chat about our favorite food moments in film and share recipes inspired by films. Follow #wfmdish on Twitter from 6pm - 7pm CST to join the conversation.

February 23rd

11:00-12:00- Healthy Meal Planning-Want to eat healthier but not sure where to start? Join our healthy eating specialist Cara for a lesson in healthier meal planning and get on the right track to better health.

Class is free, but space is limited, and registration is required.

February 26th

8:00 am- 9:00pm- 5% to Benefit CHKD: Shop all day on Feb. 27th and as part of our commitment to the community we will donate 5% of our net sales to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.

11:00 am- Values Tour: Learn how to get the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices. Our Values Tour covers savings strategies as well as our quality standards and core values. Free gift to everyone who participates.
