Walgreens Releases New Balance Rewards Program (Video)

The new Walgreens Balance Rewards program is rolling out right now and we can officially register on their website.  Beginning 9/16 you can register in the store.

If you don’t want to read all this, just watch the video at the end of this post!

How Will The Program Work

I think this program will be very similiar to Rite Aid’s wellness+ card.  You will be required to have a Balance Rewards card in order to receive sale prices or use any Walgreens store coupons so basically you NEED a card to most effectively shop.

Here is the Walgreens Balance Rewards Point conversion chart.  They have not yet released the information about how much you have to spend to earn a point etc but I am sure we will know soon!

It’s important to pay attention: if you redeem your points for something that has a bonus points offer attached to it, you will not receive those additional points.

As of right now the Register Rewards Program will stay the same.  I am sure if changes are coming they will warn us in plenty of time.

And right now when you pre-register for the program before Spetmber 15th you will be entered for a chance to win up to 1 million points on your Balance Rewards account!  These points can be redeemed instore or online.  If you prefer to register in store you can beginning September 16th but you will not be eligible for the prizes.
