“Mom I JUST had a deal on that on my site. Yesterday!”
“But I didn’t see it on Facebook and you know I don’t check your site.”
I’m hearing that often these days- and not just from my mother. Those of you who follow A Frugal Chick on Facebook [1]may remember those magical days when you saw updates from me 5 or 6 times a day. All the best deals were right there when you logged in. And you could share them with your deal seeking friends with ease.
Those magical days ended in December when Facebook decided they want me to pay for you to see my updates. At some point I may pay for some VERY good deals but for right now bloggers are still trying to figure out if it’s worth it. Additionally I don’t really want to pay facebook to get to more of you because it just encourages their bad behavior. 🙂
Now if they would make a program where I could pay them monthly to maintain my page with Terms and Conditions I can expect from them I would be THRILLED to pay them.
So if you are missing me on Facebook there is a simple solution- sign up for my free newsletter [2]. Once a day, around 3 p.m., an e-mail will be sent to you with everything I have posted in the last 24 hours. And while some things are time sensitive this is the only GUARANTEED way that you can see everything I do.
If after a week you don’t find it helpful, you can just “unsubscribe” on the bottom. I won’t be offended!
