After the success of the “How To Shop CVS” video I thought I would follow up with a “How To Shop Walgreens” video as well!
One of the biggest complaints I get from people trying to coupon is that the drug stores are just so confusing.
I think they are actually the most fun because it is where I see the biggest savings.
So this weekend I took the time to film the portion of my coupon class where I teach Walgreens in an effort to help all of you understand how it works.
Now the other part to understanding Walgreens is HOW to read the Walgreens deals on my website.
So let’s take a look at a few sample deals and with your new found knowledge hopefully it will make more sense:
We will start with a simple one:
Morton Epsom Salt (4lbs) – $4.00
Get $4 RR
FREE after RR!
This means that when you get to the register you would pay $4 out of pocket. BUT you would get a piece of paper (Register Rewards) worth $4 off your next transaction at Walgreens!
Nexcare Blister Waterproof Bandages (6 pk) – $3.50
Get $3.50 RR
$0.55/1 Nexcare Bandages, exp. 5/31/13 (SS 04/07/13 R)
$1/2 Nexcare Bandages, exp. 5/31/13 (SS 04/07/13)
Better than FREE after RR!
In this case the bandages are $3.50. But you can use one of those two coupons to help you save. So let’s say you have the $.55 of 1 coupon form the 04/07/13 Smart Source Insert. At the register you would pay $2.95 and then get a piece of paper good for $3.50 off your next transaction at Walgreens.
Ban Antiperspirant/Deodorant – $1.99
Get 1000 Balance Rewards Points wyb 3
$0.40/1 Ban Product, exp. 5/26/13 (SS 04/14/13 R)
$0.75/1 Ban Solid, exp. 5/26/13 (SS 04/14/13 R)
As low as $1.24 ea. + 1000 Balance Rewards Points wyb 3!
In this case you use the coupon to get a lower price but they will also load 1000 points onto your Balance Rewards Card. This is kind of like building up a Walgreens gift card. Check out the dollar value of the points:
I hope this clears up Walgreens for you!
