How To Save Using Ibotta (Cool New Couponing Toy)

ibotta bonuses

Welcome to 2013 and even MORE electronic couponing.

For those of you with smart phones we have a new toy and it’s COOL.

Check out Ibotta– I LOVE it.

Here is how it works:

Basically when you sign up for Ibotta, you’ll get paid for doing what you already do.

Once you have signed up and downloaded the Ibotta App to your phone (available for iPhone and Android right now) you will be ready to go!

  1. Before shopping, look at the app and choose the offers that you like.  The more you choose, the more you can earn.
  2. Go to you favorite store- it’s a LONG list.
  3. Buy the offers you chose earlier and then send Ibotta a picture of your receipt and they’ll credit your account for your purchases within 24 hours and pay you for the offers you bought.
  4. Once you have the balance you like they will credit it to your Paypal account!

Want to see how it works?  Here is a transaction I did a few weeks ago:

Before I go to the store I will click “Earn $1” underneath the picture of the Special K cereal.

Then at the store I will buy this deal:

Kellogg’s Special K Cereal $1.97 e-VIC (be sure your VIC card is registered)
$0.70 off any ONE Kellogg’s Special K Cereal
Final Price: $.57

Then when I get home I will take a picture of the receipt and about five minutes later I will have $1 in my account!

This makes it a moneymaker!

So check out Ibotta– I am SUPER excited about this one!  I think I am going to see if I can earn back the cost of my data plan on my phone every month!

That sounds so neat. Can you only use it with a Paypal account? Does it cost to sign up for one? Thanks!

I didn’t have any problems but I didn’t use it today. I just checked mine and it seems to be doing okay. Sorry :(

Hi, I tried using the ibotta app today for the first time and it keeps crashing on me right after I take a picture and click upload. Did you have any problems like this?
