I am particularly happy with my Harris Teeter trip today because I get to donate part of my haul to our church’s food pantry! The total before coupons/VIC card was $73.01. My total out of pocket was $15.13!
Here is what I picked up:
6 Jars of Peter Pan Peanut Butter
3 Boxes Finish Quantum Dishwashing Detergent
6 Boxes Mueller’s Spaghetti Pasta
3 Cans of Hunt’s Diced Tomatoes
3 Containers of Buitoni’s Pasta (I am VERY excited about this)
12 4-packs of Hunt’s Snack Pack Puddings
***Someone asked if I could comment on where I got the coupons I used. All of them except the diced tomatoes were from the Smart Source inserts in the paper this past Sunday 1/2. The tomatoes were from the January All You Magazine. Hope that helps!***
If you are fortunate enough to live by a Harris Teeter I hope all of you have trips that are just as successful!

Love the savings, have most of the coupons, problem is I’m in NC and no HT close enough to make it worth it, guess I’ll just have to keep hoping that FF or FL do something like this
Laura says
Nope. The only time you can “coupon stack” is if you have a store coupon (meaning it would be a coupon that Harris Teeter released themselves) and a manufacturers coupon. Sorry!

I am a “cupin” (my coined term for coupon virgin) and I was wondering if you could use different coupons for the same item. For instance, if i have two different coupons from two different sources for some Palmolive, can i use them both for that one bottle? I went to HT and had a couple of coupons that fit that description. Thanks.

Pamela- that’s awesome! I am very impressed!

I went to HT yesterday. Total before VIC savings was $121.63 and I paid $47.82. I did buy quite a bit of meat too so that pushed the bill a little higher. My total shopping for the day (between Rite Aid, Harris Teeter and Farm Fresh) $225.49 of products for a grand total spent of $88.86!) I was SO excited.

Now that I think about it, they did take all three of my electrosol coupons, even though their coupon policy says they would only take one for every set of Buy One Get One Free. I just double checked my receipt and all three coupons came out of my total! So it was $8.23 for three of them after the VIC deal. I used $6.75 in coupons, making it $1.48 for all three of them, or about $.50 each.

ON the trip to harris tetter you got the electrsol I see that it is buy 1 get 1 free, did you use the 2 coupons on the buy 1 get 1 or just 1 coupon? Want to make sure I get a good deal. Thanks for the info, you give such great advice.
Laura says
I know! It’s been WAY too long! I feel like it’s been almost a year since the last time! Let’s keep our fingers crossed that next time it is triples!
Ashley says
When may they bring back the triple coupon sale?!? They used to do those every once in a while to, but it’s been quite a while since they have done it.
Laura says
Lyn that is awesome! 72% is incredible and should keep your kitchen stocked for a bit!
HT does Super Doubles whenever they feel like it. I think recently it has been about once a quarter, but sometimes they surprise us!
Lyn says
I had a similar experience, but you did much better! My total was $82.66 before coupons and $23.40 afterwards! I’ve never saved that much before on a grocery bill at one time. I saved almost 72%. I received many things free or less than $1. It is all stuff I needed and will use! Amazing! Thank you for the heads up and the posts listing all of the deals. How often does HT do the Super Double Match Ups?
Lois says
Great Job. It was nice to see what you got. And to know that you are sharing with the church.
