As many of you have asked, some Harris Teeter stores are indicating that they do NOT allow the use of a Harris Teeter e-Vic digital coupon AND a paper manufacturer’s coupon. This has never been restricted before.
After calling and getting different answers at different stores I finally did what every good blogger does… I asked on their Facebook wall.
Here was the response:
This has not yet gone into effect. Please give us a call at 1-800-432-6111 (option 2) so that we can get more information to address this issue. Thank you!
If a Harris Teeter near you has told you that you cannot use a paper coupon on an E-Vic deal please call and let them know.
However you can tell from the verbiage this will eventually be happening. Be sure to keep an eye here or sign up for my daily e-mail! I will let you know as soon as I do.

You should be able to have them scan paper coupons first then your card..
I called the number and was told the same thing as Tish but they also told me that the change will take place in 4-6 weeks, they will make an annoucement when this happens. One potential problem I see with this is what if you load and evic coupon but then you see a higher value paper coupon that you would like to use. If you scan your vic card the evic coupons come off before you have a chance to use the paper ones. So are they going to have a way to delete the evic coupon that came off so you can use the higher value paper one. This could potentially be quite a bit of difference especially if the coupon is under a dollar and doubles. I hope this is something Harris Teeter is looking into before they implement this change.
I went on HT’s website and asked them about this. I was told that there is a glitch in the system that has effected 65% of the of the VIC card users. I was told to bring it to the attention at the Customer Service desk and if they do not issue you a refund – contact the corporate office (either by phone or email) and they will issue you a refund. They are working on resolving the problem. Until then, I have been printing off my list ZVR’s – it is easy to do. Go into the website like you are going to make a shopping list. There is a drop down box that asks Print Shopping List, Print Electronic Coupons, Print Both. You choose Coupons and the list prints. I take it with me and if something doesn’t credit – I take it to the Customer Service Desk. I shop at three different HT’s and everyone of them has been really good about. The best part is the Coupons are still on your card – so you can use them again!
The latest info I have read sounds like HT is selling out to someone else so this may not matter
