FREE Water

Currently (8 a.m.) I am sitting in my hotel room in New York with a beautiful view of the skyline and the Hudson River. The building across from mine has a lovely American Flag on the top that is bravely blowing in the wind making the whole thing picturesque. The more time I spend rehearsing this role for Abigail Adams and doing research I have become more proud of our country so this is a very “sit back and take a breath” moment.

As I look at the beautiful room and am thankful for some moments of quiet before the craziness begins my eyes wander over to the night stand and see what has been one of my favorite things about this hotel. It’s a glass water bottle.

I get so tired of being in hotel rooms and seeing cheap bottled water with a price tag hanging around it. $5 for a bottle of Deer Park. So I end up drinking tap water out of a questionably clean glass.

In this hotel there are these very cool bottles everywhere. With pretty clean glasses sitting next to them. Instead of having to constantly pay for bottled water I have the wonderful experience of pouring water out of a fancy glass bottle and drinking as much as I want for free (yes I know it’s figured into the cost of the room but let me have my moment).

I am so thankful for the little things in life that are free.
