The Food Lion coupon policy says they will accept up to 10 identical coupons per day but I don’t know that  I would actually test that theory.  If I was doing a shopping trip here is what I would get:

(3) Old El Paso Seasoning 1 Ounce $.69
– $0.60/3 Old El Paso Product, exp. 11/3/12 (SS 09/09/12)
Final Price: $.49 each when you buy 3

(3) Old El Paso Refried Beans 16 Ounce $1.09
– $0.60/3 Old El Paso Product, exp. 11/3/12 (SS 09/09/12)
Final Price: $.89 each when you buy 3

(2) Multi Grain Cheerios 16.2 oz $3.00
– $0.75 off ONE BOX Multi Grain Cheerios (you can print 2)
Final Price: $2.25 each

(3) Hamburger Helper 4.3-8.4 Ounce $1.00
– $0.75/3 Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper or Chicken Helper Home Cooked Skillet Meals, exp. 12/1/12 (GM 10/07/12)
– $0.75/3 Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper or Chicken Helper Home Cooked Skillet Meal, exp. 11/3/12 (SS 09/09/12)
– $0.75 off 3 Hamburger Helper Skillet Meals
Final Price: $.75 each when you buy 3

(2) Honey Nut Cheerios 18 oz $3.00
– SAVE 50¢ when you buy ONE BOX Honey Nut Cheerios® cereal (print 2 per computer)
Final Price: $2.50 each

That order totals $15.89!

Then it would take the $5 off making your final total $10.89 (before tax).

That’s a good deal!

I went to the Food Lion on Hampton Blvd and ended up getting everything on your if I was doing a shopping list for only 8.29. I’m not sure why it was cheaper for me the only thing I can figure is that she hit total and the 5.oo came off before coupons and then she took the coupns off, that and the Honey Nut Cheerios I got were BOGO. Thanks so much for the heads up on this deal!!

Hi…. I noticed you have a misconception or two about Food Lion’s coupon practices. I’ve worked at Food Lion as Customer Service Associate/Cashier for the past 8 years, so I thought I’ll help you out. (1) The online printout for the policy does state “10 identical coupons” per transaction (not per day). The training that the cashier’s receives doesn’t list this at all, but tells them to don’t do anymore than the coupon itself reads, or what the sale limit is. The theory has been tested out with me, many times! A lot of sales have limit of 4 items per transaction. Occassionally a sale will allow up to 10 or 15 of an item in one transaction, and coupons for all will be permitted. PS: Although this varies from store to store as management has right to refuse any coupons or transactions they are not sure about, most stores follow the rules. (2) Whenever there is a special deal, like the “$5.00 off $15.00 purchase, the $5.00 is automatically deducted at the register, per the settings entered by the corporative office … thereby, the total purchase has to be $15.00 AFTER the MVP savings, but BEFORE coupons are scanned. It can’t be 14.99, must be 15.00 or more. But Mgr Coupons & store coupons may still bring it under the $15 cost OOP.
Example: 15 boxes of Hamburger Helper @ 1.00 is $15.00, it deducts the $5.00, less 5 coupons 3/$1.00 = $6.25, less store catalina coupon $2.00 (or $1.50) off $10 purchase, leaves OOP cost $4.25 for all 15 boxes !!! Yes, I am an very good couponer myself!-Eliz
