Food Lion Coupon Policy

I have had many readers and coupon class attendees tell me that they have had a hard time using coupons at Food Lion.  And while Food Lion doesn’t double or triple coupons, occasionally they have good deals that make a stop by your local store worth it.  So I wanted to post their coupon policy for your reference:

They do not take expired or competitors coupons.

They do accept manufacturer’s coupons, internet coupons, and  catalina checkout coupons.

They do not give cash back.

You can not coupon stack and they will take a maximum of ten coupons for the same type of item.

They do not accept internet coupons that appear to be fradulent or FREE coupons (meaning the coupon is specifically for a free item).

We used over 20 of the same coupons last week for an item that was on sale and ended up free. Our Food Lion didn’t bat an eye about it.

I receive their weekly email that usually contains 4 coupons and each of these are store coupons. Also, some of their coupons that you print out of the “coupon machine” are store coupons. For these store coupons, my Food Lion will stack the coupons.

Thank you. I will do that. What I have been doing is avoiding that store even though it is closest to my house and going to the one on Holland Road. Thank you.

Their official coupon policy on their website says that they do. If you frequent the one in Salem I would take the policy in to show him.

I went to the Food Lion on Salem about a month and a half ago. The manager told me that they no longer took internet coupons. The same day I went to the one on Virginia Beach Blvd. and they took the coupons.
