The Virginia Zoo will be giving free admission to healthcare workers all day long on Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6. This includes employees at hospitals, doctor’s offices, veterinary clinics, etc. A valid badge or form of identification from your medical healthcare employer must be presented at the time of ticket purchase.
The Virginia Zoo spans 53 acres adjacent to Lafayette Park in Norfolk. Zoo “residents” from around the world include more than 500 animals representing more than 100 different species.
The Asia – Trail of the Tiger environment introduces you to sun bears, red pandas, orangutans and Malayan tigers. Visit Australia and meet kangaroos and emus. In Africa, you’ll encounter zebras, rhinoceros, giraffes and lions! Helpful zoo guides offer a wealth of knowledge on the animals and their lives, both here and in the wild.
Stop by the Zoo restaurant for a refreshing break, and visit the gift shop to grab a souvenir of your visit.
