CVS Trip: $28.81 for $3.98

While I was working on a local community theater show I sort of slacked off on couponing.

I basically lived out of my stockpile for about a month so it’s time to restock.

This morning I made a quick trip to CVS to grab a few good deals they had.

From today until Wednesday (7/18) if you go into CVS and scan your Extra Care Card in the red price scanning machine it will print you a coupon for $4 off of $20. ¬†This $20 is your amount BEFORE coupons so basically it’s $4 in FREE stuff.

After I got my coupon here is what I picked up:

5- Vitamin Water Zero (LOVE THIS STUFF)
2- Colgate 6 oz Toothpastes
1- Schick Hydro Power Select Razor
1- Travel Sized Scope Outlast
Total Before Sales and Coupons: $28.81
Total After Sales: $20.98

Then I used these coupons:
– $4 off of $20 Purchase at CVS coupon (referenced above)
– $4/1 Schick Hydro Power Select or Hydro 3 or 5 Blade Razor, exp. 7/22/12 (SS 06/10/12)
– 2 of the $1/1 Colgate Product, exp. 7/28/12 (SS 07/08/12 R)

This brought my total down to $10.98, which is what I paid out of pocket.

Then I received $7 in Extra Care Bucks. These print on the bottom of your receipt and are pretty much the same as cash at CVS. On my next transaction I will be able to use them to get an even better deal!

So in coupon math we say this trip was for $3.98!
