Couponing for Community: May 8th – May 14th

One of the great things about couponing is the chance to donate above what I ever thought I would be able to.  Now that I am finally figuring out my finances from being laid off I have a little bit of money for donating- like my trip to Harris Teeter this week.

Bloggers across the country are taking this opportunity to give back by participating in Couponing for Community.  We are encouraging everyone to donate to their local food pantry or shelter.

This year the goal is to give 10,000 items during the week of May 8th.  And they have a very cool site set up- you can click here and check the progress!  And once you make your donation, add yours in to be included in the total!

And to make things even easier May 14th is Stamp Out Hunger Day.  Just leave a bag of non-perishable food items by your mailbox and the USPS will pick them up and make sure they get donated.  You don’t even have to leave home to donate!

Click here to check out all the information on Stamp Out Hunger Day.

So what do you think?  Will you be donating with me?
