Coming Soon: Commissary E-Coupon Card

by Laura on June 7, 2011

If you are one of the fortunate who shops at the Commissary soon you will have an even greater chance at saving on your items!

The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) announced what they are calling a “loyalty card” at a recent conference in Norfolk, Va., according to the Army Times. The card is expected to be available in the fall.

From the details given this will not be a typical store card (all items will still be available at their sale prices to everyone- no card required).  This new card will allow you to download coupons onto your card for the additional savings.

Obviously there are still some questions to be answered but as this is not exactly new territory for grocery stores I am sure they will be taking their cues from Cellfire and other similiar sites.

As soon as I find out more I will let you know.  Be sure to pass this post along to your fellow couponers to share in the excitement!

A big thank you to Charlotte from My Active Child for shooting me this information!
