Restock For $6 At Rite Aid Beginning 2/19

The deals this week at Rite Aid (2/19 – 2/25) are one of the reasons I love Rite Aid so much.  They have really great deals this week.

If I was going to Rite Aid this week, I would buy lotion, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste.  And here is how I would do it:

Transaction #1:
1 Colgate Total Advanced Toothpaste (Or Sensitive) $3.50
Use the $0.75/1 Colgate Optic White, Total Advanced or Sensitive Pro-Relief from the 2/12 Red Plum Insert
1 Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion (10 oz) $2.97
Use the $1 off coupon from the 1/29/12 Red Plum Insert
Final Price Out of Pocket: $4.72 (plus tax)
Receive $5.50 in Up Rewards for next transaction

Transaction #2:
1 Colgate Total Advanced Toothpaste (Or Sensitive) $3.50
1 Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion (10 oz) $2.97
Use $5.50 in Up Rewards from Transaction #1
Final Price Out of Pocket: $.97 (plus tax)
Receive $5.50 in Up Rewards for next transaction

Transaction #3:
1 Colgate Total Advanced Toothpaste (Or Sensitive) $3.50
Colgate 360 or Sensitive ProRelief Manual Toothbrush (1 ct.) (excl. Surround and Optic White), $2.49
Use $5.50 in Up Rewards from Transaction #3
Final Price: $.49 (plus tax)
Receive $4 in Up Rewards for Next Purchase

Transaction #4:
Mitchum or Lady Mitchum Anti-Perspirant or Deodorant (Excluding Twin Packs), 2/$6
Use 2 $1/1 Mitchum or Mitchum for Women Product printable
Use $4 in Up Rewards from Transaction #3
Final Price: FREE
Receive $2 in Up Rewards for Next Purchase

At this point I have only spent $6.18 so I could get some more toothbrushes but I usually draw the line at 4 transactions.  Obviously you don’t have to do these exact ones but this should give you a great idea of what you can do with a little money and knowledge of how Rite Aid works!

Possible HUGE Changes at Rite Aid

I am NOT happy about this one.  Generally I support everything Rite Aid does but this one is going to possibly knock them a few notches down on my list.

As we continue to enhance our wellness+ program in ways to deliver even more value and convenience that you’ve been asking for, we’ll be testing an exciting new Load2Card feature in three markets: Richmond, Salt Lake City and Seattle beginning today. In this test, we’re making a few changes: 1) +UP Rewards will be automatically loaded to members’ wellness + cards so you no longer have to worry about keeping track of your paper receipts and 2) a +UP can be used starting at 6 a.m. on the day after it was earned and will remain valid for 14 days. Nothing has changed outside these test markets – the +UP’s generated on your register receipt can still be used on same-day next purchases.

So the positive- your Up Rewards will be loaded to your Wellness Card.  This is great because you do not have to keep track of those tiny pieces of paper anymore.

The negative- on the day you earn your Up Rewards you can’t use them immediately.  This means that if you shop on Sunday your Up Rewards will not be able to used until MONDAY.  This means multiple trips in a week if the transactions are good.  AND there is an increased risk stock will be out.

We won’t know for a while if they decide to do this nationwide but I wanted to give you a heads up!

If I Was Going to Rite Aid This Week

One of my readers told me last night that she likes it when bloggers show what transactions they would do at the drug store.

So I thought I would show you what I would do at Rite Aid this week (because Rite Aid is my favorite):

First Transaction:
– Buy 2 Stayfree Maxi Pads (14 to 24 ct.)$6
Use B1G1 Stayfree Product, exp. 2/15/12 (SS 01/08/12- this was in the one with the red cover)
– Buy GE Extra Soft White (4 pk.) or Longlife Light Bulbs (2 pk), $2.99
Final Price: $5.99 Out Of Pocket and receive $6 in Up Rewards

Second Transaction:
– Buy 2 Revlon Colorsilk Hair Color, 2/$6
Use $1/2 Revlon Colorsilk Product, exp. 2/15/12 (SS 01/15/12) AND
Use $1/2 Colorsilk Hair Color (RA Video Values, Feb)
– Buy 2 Garnier Fructis Shampoo or Conditioner (10-13 oz. – excludes Dandruff), 2/$5
Use 2 $1/1 Garnier Fructis Shampoo or Conditioner printable
Use 2 $1/1 Garnier Fructis Shampoo, Conditioner or Treatment, exp. 3/18/12 (RP 02/05/12)
Total: $7
Use the $6 in Up Rewards from Transaction #1
Final Out of Pocket: $1 plus you get $1 in Up Rewards

So your total spent would be $6.99 for everything on the list!  Who says you can’t get good deals at the drug store?

Rite Aid Load 2 Card Program

Since I had some time I thought I would check out the Rite Aid Load 2 Card program.

This program, which began January 1, 2012 allows you to load coupons directly onto your Rite Aid Wellness+ card.  It was much easier than I thought it would be.

I signed into my account (the same log in I use for Single Check Rebates) and it pulled all the coupons up right in front of me!  A few clicks and all the coupons I wanted were added no problem.  The two I noticed were the ones for $.50 off Rite Aid brand rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide.  I think almost everyone needs those items in their home!

The one bummer about these coupons is that you can not coupon stack.    There is a coupon on the site for $.40 off Betty Crocker cookie mix.  If you had a paper coupon you could not use it as well.  But there are many coupons for Rite Aid products that would make great deals!
