HOT LeapPad Deal: $109 For Bundle Including Shipping

UPDATE: It looks like the 15% off code is no longer working.  Hope you got it while it was such a good deal!

Several of my readers have mentioned the LeapPad as a gift they are planning on purchasing this holiday season.  If you are like me and had no idea what it was, think of it as an iPad for a child under the age of 6.  This is going to be a HOT item.

One of my blogger friends found a VERY good deal on this item- that includes a $20 credit to the app store and the Tangled game.

Currently on LeapFrog.com you get FREE shipping on all LeapPad bundles (no code needed) plus you get an extra 15% off once the item has been added to your cart.

Once you are at check out use the code GOBBLE3LF to get another $10 off!  That will make your final total $108.99 for the Get Ready for Kindergarden LeapPad Bundle.  They have many other bundles you can check out as well (for example if your little man isn’t so much into Tangled)!

Just the LeapPad alone is $99 on Amazon and you would still have to pay for games and apps so this is a VERY good deal!

Thanks Delicious Finds!

Hexbug Sale Prices

Amazon has a bunch of Hexbugs on sale and I hear they are a hot item for this holiday season!

Check out these lower prices on Amazon and Target.com:

Hexbug Nano $6.73 (50% off) (they are $5.99 on Target.com)

Hexbug Ant $9.08 (30% off) (they are $9.99 on Target.com)

Those are just two examples- there must be 50 products.  They are pretty close in price on both sites.

Amazon has free shipping on purchases over $25 (plus you can use credits from Swagbucks and SavingStar).  Target has free shipping on purchases over $50.

I checked walmart.com and discovered many hexbug products can only be bought in the store.  So if you want them shipped I would check out Target.com and Amazon.com.  Does anyone else have a hidden source for them?

A Chick’s Opinion: Nintendogs + Cats

I know from the survey I did a few months ago many parents are looking for video games for the holidays that are kid friendly.  With so many more adult and teen games finding something fun and safe for smaller children is a priority.

Enter the “Nintendogs and Cats” for the Nintendo 3DS.

These games are completely cute.  You get to select the type of dog or kitten your child wants to take care of and they can handle it from there.  The puppies and kittens need training, have outfits and can compete in challenges.   The pictures are adorable (check them out on Amazon).  One of the kittens reminds me of my cat when she was so small I could hold her in the palm of my hand.

If you have been trying to communicate to your child the responsibility of having their own real life pet, this would be a great first step.  (Anyone having flash backs to Neopets?  I didn’t have one but most of my friends killed their electronic pets pretty quickly!)

And best of all you know the game is safe and non-violent for your younger kids.

Check out all the Nintendog and Cat Options:

Nintendogs + Cats: Golden Retriever and New Friends 3DS $32.87

Nintendogs + Cats: Toy Poodle and New Friends 3DS $28.99

Nintendogs + Cats: French Bulldog and New Friends 3DS $30.84

Since I needed to get a kid’s opinion I spoke with a friend who has two kids ages 4 and 7.  They gave the game a try and both of them really liked it!  The youngest kid used it in 2D on their machine and the 7 year old in 3D.   They both gave it 2 Thumbs Up!

So if you are looking for a family friendly game for your children check out these games!

Pre-Order “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever”

Amazon has the upcoming book “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever” on pre-order for 50% off list price!

The current pre-order price is $6.96 with FREE shipping.

The great thing about pre-ordering on Amazon is that if the price goes lower BEFORE your copy ships (on November 15th) you will pay that lower price!

Thanks My Litter!
