Harris Teeter Trip: $5.85

I made a trip to Harris Teeter with WCTV to film a short segment on shopping with coupons.  I bought a lot of stuff to be donated because I wanted to get the best deal possible.

This picture has almost everything I bought (I taught a class at a local school today and gave away 2 candy bars and 3 containers of hot sauce).

The haul also included 3-32 oz containers of jelly, 2 bags of frozen rolls, 2 containers of juice, 3 containers of mustard, a bag of rice, brownie mix, dried prunes, a jar of fruit and worcestershire sauce.

The total before coupons was $45.42.  The total after was $5.85.  That’s over 85% savings!

Hopefully this will encourage you to check out triple coupons at Harris Teeter!

Harris Teeter Triple Coupons 5/18 – 5/24

So though we can’t 100% confirm it until we actually see the flyer on Wednesday morning but Harris Teeter should be having triple coupons.

For those of you who haven’t participated before here is how it works: beginning Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. all coupons up to $.99 will be tripled (20 per day).  If your coupon is $1 or above it will be just redeemed at face value.  So if you have a $.75 coupon it will be good for $2.25 cents off whatever you buy.  Coupons will be tripled until Tuesday evening so you can do 20 coupons per day.

Important Harris Teeter Coupon Policy Change

So Harris Teeter has made an IMPORTANT change to their coupon policy that can affect all couponers- and it’s a good change!

Previously Harris Teeter would only take two indentical internet printable coupons per transaction.  So if you had 4 Colgate Toothpaste coupons from the internet you could only use 2 of them in a transaction (this would be one coupon for one tube of toothpaste.)

They have now updated their coupon policy and they take THREE!  So you can use three identical internet coupons on three seperate items.

That should help you save even more!  To check out their official policy click here.

Harris Teeter Super Doubles 4/27 – 5/3

Harris Teeter is doing Super Doubles again beginning 4/27 at 7 a.m!

For all the new couponers out there, I thought I would do a short post about the rules of Super Double Coupons at Harris Teeter. Hopefully it will help you save big!

* Harris Teeter begins Super Doubling coupons at 7:00 AM on the first day of the sale- you can get there before 7 to shop, but you cannot check out before then.

* Harris Teeter will Super Double coupons worth up to $1.98 face value. A $1.50 coupon will double to $3.00. A $1.00 coupon will double to $2.00. A $2.00 coupon will not double at all and will only be taken at face value ($2.00).

* Harris Teeter will Super Double/Double up to 20 coupons per day per address. If you have 20 $1 coupons and 20 $.75 coupons, only 20 total will double. They will not double 20 under $1 coupons and super double another 20 coupons that are over $1.

* Harris Teeter’s policy is to double up to 3 identical manufacturer’s coupons and 2 identical internet coupons (as long as you buy the product required for each coupon, of course). So, if you have five $1.00 coupons for a product, the policy is to only super double the first three.

* You must have a VIC card to take advantage of these deals!

Hopefully that will help some of you with the rules of Super Doubling! I will be posting some scenarios soon as more and more bloggers seem confident this is going to happen!

Plus click here to see how I prepare for Super Doubles!
