Home Depot Christmas Light Trade In- GREAT DEAL

It’s that time of year again- where you climb into the attic or go into the basement to find a mess of burnt out, energy sucking holiday lights.

Why not trade them in this year for new energy efficient LED lights?  And get a discount!

Every year the Home Depot does their Christmas/Holiday light trade it.  Bring your old lights to Home Depot and receive a coupon to buy new LED lights for a great deal.

Now through November 13th take your old lights in and receive a coupon for the following:

  • $3 off coupon towards the purchase of Home Accents Holiday string lights
  • $4 off coupon towards the purchase of Martha Stewart Living or GE LED string lights
  • $5 off coupon towards the purchase of EcoSmart or Lightshow LED Lights

There is a limit of 5 redemptions per customer and this should get the cheapest strands down to about $2-3.   The lights you bring in do not have to work.

Create Your Coupon Binder For $28

When it comes to organizing coupons there is not one right away.  But most people use a binder.  And sometimes it is a pain trying to get all of the supplies you need.

Enter Amazon (whom I love).  They have everything you need for your binder at prices pretty much the same as you would pay in the store.  Plus they have this cool little cutting thing.

Case-it Blue Zipper Binder with Removable Tab File $17.99

Slice Safety Cutter, Green $4.39 (this thing is AWESOME)

25 Ultra Pro 9 Pocket Page Protectors $5.89

That can help you get started for $28!  And then you can figure out the finer points from there!

JCPenney.com: Hot Kitchen Appliances (Around $8)

This is a fantastic sale from JC Penney on Cook’s kitchen appliances.

You can get a Cook’s Power Blender, 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker, or Belgian Flip Waffle Maker for around $8 after sale & rebates!

Here is how to take advantage of this great deal:

Step 1: Click to check out the JCPenney page on Shop At Home.  By shopping through this link you will get 9% cash back on your purchase.  Click where it says “shop now” on the right hand side. (This 9% offer expires 10/17).

Step 2: Search for the item you would like to purchase: “Cooks 5-in-1 Power Blender”, “Coffeemaker 12-Cup Programmable (this one is a few dollars more expensive)” or “Belgian Flip Waffle Maker” and then add them to your cart.

Step 3: When you check out use the code BESTSALE and it will take $10 off your final total making it $19.99.  Select “ship to store” and shipping will be free.

Step 4: Then print the Cooks Kitchen Rebate form (go ahead and print it now in case they pull it).  You can get one rebate per item so if you would like to buy more than one you can go back and purchase a second item.  If you choose to get a second item, follow the directions above exactly except at check out use the code GOTTADO and that will take the $10 off.  Do not purchase them together- you will need two receipts.

Step 5: In a few days you will see your 9% rebate in your Shop At Home account!

Thanks Money Saving Mom!
