Entertainment Book- $10.44 After Rebate

Did you mean to pick up a 2011 Entertainment Book and just haven’t gotten around to it yet?   Today could be your lucky day.

Shop at Home has a 35% rebate today on entertainment books and they are on sale!

Here is how to take advantage of this great deal:

Log into or sign up for Shop at Home (just like ebates- I began using it in January and like it alot!)

Search for entertainment book in their search engine in the upper right hand corner

When it pops up, click on Entertainment Book (font is blue).

Click the big blue button that says “Shop Now”

This will take you to entertainment.com.

Find your book and check out.  Your book should be $22.75 and shipping is $1.

(If you are in Hampton Roads for some reason it has had a hard time finding our entertainment book using a zip code.   So if your zip code won’t work just click on any city and then you can search for Hampton Roads from there).

So your total will be $23.75.  BUT…

Shop at Home is going to give you 35% cash back.  So in a few days, you should see a rebate of $8.31 in your account.

PLUS if you are a new Shop at Home member you will get an extra $5 in your rebate, making your final total after rebate $10.44!

Kroger Deals of the Week 1/9

I never post Kroger deals.  There has really only been one reason for that- their deals vary by area.  I have talked to bloggers who have Krogers within 2 or 3 miles of each other that have different sales.

However I talk to many people when I teach coupon classes who like Kroger.  So I am going to try to list the deals each week and hope that they are pretty close to the prices where you live!

Click here to see all the deals of the week, but here are the ones that caught my eye!

Gerber 2nd Foods, 2 pk, 3.5 oz Containers – $0.89
$0.75/2 Gerber Puree 11/14/2010 RP Insert

Powerade or Powerade Zero, 32 oz. – $0.79

Red Cherries – $2.99/lb. (This is one of my favorite foods on earth!)

Tyson Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast – $1.99/lb.

Walmart Price Matching Policy

You have probably heard that Walmart has a Price Matching Policy.  They say they will match any of their competitors prices.  But there are some rules involved.

Fortunately my friend Paul over at I Heart The Mart has it all figured out for you!

Click here to see his complete explanation but here are his steps to effective price matching:

1.  Check the other grocery stores sales ad’s for great deals. Make a list of the items and prices. Check to see what coupons you have or can print to match up with these sales. Check electronics, I have saved HUGE this way at Walmart! (Laura’s note: In Hampton Roads, check out the Bottom Dollar Food Ad. Their produce is usually cheaper than Walmart.)

2.  Take a look at the price matching policy. They will not do B1G1 free sales, but they will do 2 for $4 or 2/$4. They will also NOT do % off, like 25% off all soda.

3. Go shopping! Bring your other store ad’s with you. Most will require that you have them. Don’t cut them up, they will need to verify the dates on them. You can only use a current ad.

4. I always place items that I am NOT price matching on the belt first. Then I place my items that I am price matching and lay the ad on top of them so I don’t forget… or get distracted by children! I inform the cashier that I am price matching and show them the ad. I saw a woman once that had placed sticky notes on her items, the cashier LOVED her! I don’t have that kind of time, but it was a good idea!

5. Do the “Happy Dance” that you saved a bunch of money!
