Apple iPhone 5 Users- FREE Battery Replacement For Some

I have had some friends with new iPhones who have complained about this so I’m glad to see Apple stepping up to fix it.

If your iPhone 5 can’t hold a charge, you may be able to get a new battery for free beginning 8/29.

The company has determined that “a very small percentage” of iPhone 5 smartphones may “suddenly” have a shorter battery life or need to be charged more often, Apple acknowledged on its support website.

The affected devices were sold between September 2012 and January 2013 and you can check to see if you are eligible.

IPhone owners who have already paid for a replacement battery can contact Apple for a refund, the company says.

You have three ways to get your replacement:

  • Visiting an Apple authorized service provider.
  • Making an appointment at an Apple Retail Store.
  • Contacting Apple Technical Support by phone.

And be sure to back everything up before you go!

Monday Aug. 25th: FREE Admission to ALL National Parks

This Monday August 25th  is the National Park Service’s birthday, and you can join in the celebration!

All National Parks  are waiving entrance fees for the day and are inviting everyone to join in the festivities taking place coast-to-coast. So why not head to any of the country’s 401 national parks this Monday and take in the scenery, learn a little history, or simply enjoy the great outdoors.

Check out the list of the parks- they are all over the United States so I am sure you can find one near you!

In my area these include the Yorktown Battlefield, Jamestown, Fort Monroe and more.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Activity Sheets

Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day follows the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander (Ed Oxenbould) as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. He soon learns that he’s not alone when his mom (Jennifer Garner), dad (Steve Carell), brother (Dylan Minnette) and sister (Kerris Dorsey) all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Anyone who says there is no such thing as a bad day just hasn’t had one.

It will be released in theaters on October 10th.

To celebrate Disney has released some activity sheets for you and your kids to enjoy (and a recipe):

Alexander Coloring Page

Alexander Coloring Page 2

Alexander Quiche Recipe

Alexander Door Hanger

Alexander Hide and Seek

Enjoy these freebies- you can never have too many coloring and activity sheets!
