Friday is Mega Swag Bucks Day

Don’t forget today is Friday . . . . . That means Mega Swagbucks Day!!! That means that you can win up to 100 Swagbucks just for searching the internet!!!

If you don’t use Swagbucks, you need to check it out! Swagbucks is a search engine, powered by Google, that gives you points for searching the internet. Just use it like you would Google or Bing, but you earn points for seaches. After you have banked enough points, you can trade them in for free items! Plus, they often offer special Swag Codes for additional points as well, so it’s not hard to rack up enough points to redeem often!

With Swagbucks you can earn gift cards (my personal favorite) and other rewards just by searching the internet. IPods, LCD televisions, and IPhones are some of the more fun items in the Swag Store- I personally am getting Amazon $5 gift cards toward a new television. It’s only 45 swag points to get a $5 gift card!

Plus, if you use this link here you can earn 30 Swag Bucks just for signing up!

$10 off of $10 at JcPenney.com plus free shipping on shoes

Right now online JCPenney is offering a $10 off a $10 purchase when you use the code “TEN2YOU” at checkout.

And when you shop through Ebates you get an additional 6% cash back on your purchase! Remember, if you have signed up for ebates in the last 90 days, you can still earn that $5 bonus in your account!

To make the deal even sweeter, all shoes ship FREE today (8/5). Some shoes are priced at $10.99, so after the code and free shipping you can get shoes for as little as 99¢!

So here is what you do:

1. Log in or sign up for Ebates- I promise you won’t regret it!
2. Do a search on Ebates for JCPenney.
3. Click through to JCPenney’s site.
4. Find at least $10 in merchandise (I’d recommend the shoes since they ship free- remember your purchase has to be $10, if it’s even a penny less the code won’t work) you would like to purchase and add it to your shopping cart.
5. Enter the code “TEN2YOU” at checkout to receive $10 off!

That’s all there is to it! Hurry on this one- I don’t know how long it will last!

Thanks Surviving the Stores!

GIVEAWAY: A Global Walk Photography

I am always impressed with the way an artist sees the world. What looks like a giant pile of junk to me can look like a thing of beauty with the right perspective.

My creative skills are pretty pathetic in the area of physical art. I can’t draw, paint or even arrange my furniture in patterns that my guests find acceptable. So when I see true talent in these areas, I am always in awe.

In my hometown I am lucky enough to know an amazing photographer who is a phenomenal artist. Ashley Fieldin takes beautiful, thought-provoking pictures under the name of her company A Global Walk Photography. I have two in my office and one in my living room and enjoy looking at them throughout the day.

If you are local and would like to meet the artist and see her work in person, Ashely has a show coming up August 6th from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at 2900 Ballahack Road in Chesapeake. There will be refreshments and the music of Over the Ocean, Musicplayer and Imagination Station. All of the proceeds from the ticket ($5 at the door), art and refreshment sales will go toward Ashley’s upcoming trip to Germany. She will be working with children overseas, as well as trying to capture images of their daily lives, in an effort to educate us on their reality.

And to get you in the right frame of mind, Ashley has agreed to let me give away 2 of her photographs! These 8 X 10 pictures can be mailed to anyone in the U.S., so if you are not local, please feel free to enter!

You have four ways you can enter, and you can pick as many entries (up to four) as you would like. Make sure you leave a separate comment for each entry. If you are reading this post from an email, you must click over to www.afrugalchick.com to leave your comments.

Here are the ways to enter:

1. Leave a comment on this post and let me know which picture is your favorite and why. It doesn’t have to be anything deeply personal-sometimes a picture is my favorite just because it’s pretty!

2. Subscribe to this blog, and leave me a comment letting me know you’ve done so. Click here to subscribe by email. If you’re already a subscriber, leave a comment letting me know.

3. “Like” A Frugal Chick on Facebook, then leave a comment letting me know you’ve “liked” it. If you already “like” me, leaving a comment letting me know.

4. Follow me on Twitter, then leave me a comment letting me know you are following me! If you already follow me, leave me a comment letting me know that as well!

Remember, please leave a separate comment for each entry, and enter only in the ways listed above. I reserve the right to delete comments not adhering to the above entry guidelines.

You can enter anytime now through Sunday, August 1st at 8PM EDT. Two winners will be selected at random. I will contact the winners by email shortly after the giveaway ends, and the winners will have 48 hours to respond. If they do not respond within that time frame, a new winner will be selected.

Thanks so much and I wish everyone good luck!
