Dr. Oz- 48 Hour Free Access to ConsumerLab.com

I have started watching Dr. Oz again.  Most of the time I just find it interesting but today’s show was something I really wanted to check out.

They rated vitamins- which brands are well made and will do what they are supposed to.  Because there are constantly coupons for vitamins in the paper I have always wondered if those brands are good or should I be buying some that are more expensive.

Today on the show he had someone from ConsumerLab.com- a website that shows results from different labs about the contents of vitamins on the market.  They aren’t saying which vitamins are good for what, they just check to see if vitamins have fillers, if drinks have WAY more water than they say they do etc.

If you have always wondered about your vitamins ConsumerLab.com has opened up certain portions of their site to the public for 48 hours so you can check the vitamins you use and see what is in them!

Just go through this link and take a look around yourself!  This access will end Saturday at 4 p.m. EST!

Amazon Free Download: While We’re Far Apart

This looks like another crying book.  So if you are looking to curl up for a good cry (or if you don’t cry just a good story) you can try this one for free.

Download While We’re Far Apart for free to your PC or Kindle on Amazon.

Here is the description from Amazon: In an unassuming apartment building in Brooklyn, New York, three lives intersect as the reality of war invades each aspect of their lives. Young Esther is heartbroken when her father decides to enlist in the army shortly after the death of her mother. Penny Goodrich has been in love with Eddie Shaffer for as long as she can remember; now that Eddie’s wife is dead, Penny feels she has been given a second chance and offers to care for his children in the hope that he will finally notice her and marry her after the war. And elderly Mr. Mendel, the landlord, waits for the war to end to hear what has happened to his son trapped in war-torn Hungary. But during the long, endless wait for victory overseas, life on the home front will go from bad to worse. Yet these characters will find themselves growing and changing in ways they never expected.

Amazon FREE Book Download: Maid To Match

This book has an almost 5 star rating and if you like period books, this might be right up your alley!

On Amazon you can download Maid To Match to your Kindle or PC for FREE!

Here is a description of the book: Tillie Reese, a bright young woman hindered by the extreme poverty in the mountains of New York, gets the job of her dreams—a position as a housemaid in George Vanderbilt’s Biltmore Estate. Surrounded by beauty and opulence, Tillie doesn’t mind the physical demands of being a servant. Meanwhile, Mack Danver will do anything to save money so he can get his sister out of the school for orphans. His twin brother, Earl, is a footman for the Vanderbilts, and when Mrs. Vanderbilt sees Mack, she decides to make the handsome brothers a “matched set.” Although well read, Mack is a mountain man at heart, and he hates being at the beck and call of the privileged upper class. However, the need to save his sister trumps his distaste. Then it’s love at first sight for Mack and Tillie, but rules against the help dating each other make Tillie fight her attraction with all the strength she can muster. Gist’s snapshot of the lives of late-nineteenth-century servants is rich in detail, and readers will root for Gist’s characters as they face one difficult situation after another with courage and faith. Another crowd-pleaser from this popular author.
